HEIDI LOUISE WILLIAMS was born in North London in 1975. She had a post-graduate teaching qualification by the age of nineteen, and has been a teacher on and off for over twenty-six years in various subjects including Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts, English, Dance, and Theatre. When not teaching, she paints houses and murals and writes books. She believes there are no bad students, just too many unimaginative, underfunded and outdated methods of teaching. Heidi believes that all learning should be at least stimulating and, whenever possible, fun. During the research for these books of THE LEAF’S KEY SERIES, she realised how much new information adults were receiving but how little of that information was being taught to the younger generations. She believes that children should be given all information in a non-bias way, and that children should be taught to question information and to logically make up their own minds with all the different sides of the facts presented to them. Heidi is concerned for the children of the future that they would not know how to survive if their technological world came crashing down, and that schools neglect to teach survival skills. With this in mind, and after years of research, and reading hundreds of text books and complicated works, she broke it all down into six fun-filled page-turning books of informative fiction that will empower children with knowledge, give them back the reality of magic and miracles, and also make them laugh.
Heidi now lives in Southern Spain with her daughter, her dog and a rabbit called Molly.
